Donnelley Constructions was engaged by the Museum of Applied Arts and Science to carry out a revitalisation program on the iconic Powerhouse Museum to solidify the attraction’s status as a 21st century cultural destination.
This included an extension of the forecourt to join the switch house, demolition of the existing lift and installation of two new lifts, installation of four new escalators, a new main entrance and suspended slabs creating new floor space.
Donnelley’s experience was key to minimising disruption to the live, open environment, as well as the exhibitions which showcased irreplaceable objects.
